Meet Albert Donadio
Albert James Donadio (AJD) has been immersed in the construction industry since his teenage years, gaining hands-on experience early by working in the field throughout high school and college.
He completed two years in the Architectural Design program at Humber College of Applied Arts, and in 1976 went on to establish an Interior Design and Construction company delivering office spaces, industrial assemblies, and residential interior and exterior renovations.
In 1981, Albert co-founded Lantech Construction Ltd., contributing to a wide range of notable developments across Ontario. His experience includes institutional, civic, and infrastructure projects such as hospitals, conservation authority works, public facilities, and large-scale commercial developments. Over the course of his career, he also owned and operated construction and project management companies, providing him with a deep understanding of how projects are built in practice.
Albert obtained his BCIN credentials with the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing in 2013, qualifying as a Designer under Part 3 and Part 9 of the Ontario Building Code. Continuing his professional development, he completed the Adaptive Home Design course with the Canadian Home Builders’ Association (CHBA) in 2024, further expanding his expertise in accessible and inclusive design.
Today, Albert is the Owner and Principal of AJD Design Group Inc. Having recently retired from active construction and project management, he now focuses his attention fully on residential design and consultation. His decades of hands-on experience, technical knowledge, and practical insight guide clients through informed, well-considered decision-making at every stage of their project.

Guidance for clients planning for aging in place, accessibility needs, or future adaptability. This service helps inform early design decisions that support safety, comfort, and long-term usability.
